These lovely tactile mango wood salad servers from Nkuku are skilfully made by artisans in India from pieces of mango wood. Each pair of salad servers have been hand carved. The natural beauty of the wood is reflected in the warm tones. Each piece is unique. Sold as a set of two.
Mango wood is a sustainable wood as the trees stop bearing fruit after a number of years so they are cut down to make way for new mango trees to be planted by the farmers. The wood can be utilised to make furniture and homewares thereby giving the farmers a vital additional income.
