Houseplant A4 Riso Print

Description

This A4 riso Houseplant print features an original papercut doodle; in translucent shades of red and teal, created by the layers of the Risograph process. Iciri’s illustrations evolve from papercuts and hand-drawn shapes and lines.

The special process of Risograph printing uses layers of soy- and rice-based inks of different opacity to create new colours. The printer mechanically creates a stencil – a perforated paper – for each colour. The colour opacities are achieved according to the degree of perforation.

Each colour is printed separately, which allows for tiny imperfections – lending each print an individual, handmade quality.

Vegetable-based inks on matt white 160gsm stock.

Signed, limited edition print, Risograph printed in Iciri’s small home studio. Unframed.

The print will come wrapped in a compostable & biodegradable bio-based film with a recycled card backing (without the print hanger).
